The Baton Rouge facility, part of the Aroma Performance global business unit, was started up in 1990. It became part of the Solvay group in 2011, when Solvay acquired Rhodia. It produces aroma ingredients used in food, flavoring and fragrances. Its vanillin products includes Rhovanil®and Rhodiarome®. It also produces inhibitor solutions used in the petrochemical industry and hydroquinone HQ used in crop protection, health and specialties for agriculture, pharmaceuticals and electronics.

Part of the Novecare GBU, the Shreveport facility joined the Solvay group in 2013, when Solvay acquired Chemlogics. The site produces water soluble polymer (friction reducers) for the Oil & Gas industry.
